Students at St Illtyd’s Catholic High School have been enjoying many different experiences as they continue to develop many life skills.

On Friday 30 Year 10 students were given the chance to enter the Speakout challenge, which is the oldest public speaking competition in the world.

Over the past few weeks all 240 Year 7 students at St Peter’s Catholic School Bournemouth have had the opportunity to visit Portsmouth Cathedral.

Students at St Seton’s Secondary School in Dublin have been involved in many initiatives over the past few weeks, including taking part in conferences and celebrating St Brigid.

Over the past number of weeks the very active students at Stella Maris Senior School have experienced many events including a trip to Gozo and diversity through art.

On February 11th, the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, Barry and Maureen Hudd were honoured by the District with the presentation of the La Salle Star for their services to the District.

During these weeks of February La Salle Pastoral Centre Castletown have enjoyed the St Brigid's holiday and the midterm break but we have also welcomed many groups to the Centre.

At their school assembly in January, De La Salle High School Downpatrick once again recognised and highlighted those individuals who have shown a strong work ethic and displayed some of the following criteria.

DLS Basildon Chaplaincy welcomed new chaplain Marie-France Bogul from St. Joseph’s for a CPD Session on Chaplaincy and to look around the school.

The recent CIL (Lasallian International Formation Centre) 2024 Programme which took place in Rome in January, was boosted by a very strong representation from the District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta.

Lasallian Projects are running one work project in Kenya this year but we are also starting to invite young people to think about summer next year.

The CHoRE Gathering 2024 provided another opportunity for reflection, evaluation, sharing and learning that will help strengthen the Lasallian Mission in schools across the District. Hosted by the St Cassian’s Centre in Kintbury on February 21st and 22nd, the gathering was attended by Chaplains, Heads of RE and Animators, from across our schools in Great Britain.
