The dedicated members of the Student Council 2023/24 at De La Salle College Waterford are the driving force behind amplifying student voices at De La Salle College. The lads are committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive school community, working arduously to ensure every student's perspective is heard and valued.

On the Feast of our Patron Saint, St. Benild Romancon celebrated on the 29th January, all our pupils at St Benild School were engaged in asking Bro Austin Gili, Brother in charge for La Salle Malta several interesting questions about the Saint and being a Brother.

The District Mission Team has been in contact with schools and pastoral centres to provide an update/ reminder regarding the Lasallian Awards and Founder’s Day.

Monastery National School, Ardee, celebrated Catholic Schools Week. The theme was, Catholic Schools Week 2024 – Communities of Service. 

The many activities in De La Salle School Basildon over the past few weeks have included a Christmas hamper collection, sharing an Epiphany Blessing and making plans for an outside, sustainable, inclusive, multipurpose teaching and wellbeing space.

The District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta, along with the global Lasallian Family is mourning the loss of Br. George Whyte, of the Miguel House Community in Castletown, who passed away on Sunday January 21st, just a week short of his 90th birthday.
