Over the past number of months Lasallian schools from across Ireland have been taking part in the Lasallian competition which is run by the MEL committee of Ireland. The finals takes place on March 14 in Castletown.

Students at Castlebar Primary School celebrated a number of important events recently, including Pancake/Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday.

The latest news from St Illtyd’s Catholic High School includes an update on the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Shwmae Day and Spotlight on Transition.

It has been another action-packed time at Stella Maris Junior School with activities including birthday celebrations, prayer, chats with astronauts, carnival events and much more.

Retreats continue in Castletown and we have been blessed with so many wonderful students visiting us. We have facilitated 5th Year, Transition Year and Confirmation retreats and as well as welcoming returning schools we have also welcomed schools

Culture week took place in St Benildus College recently and was just one of many activities at the school.

In an effort to remedy the long time it has been since St Gregory’s took a group out to Rome, three members of the RE team of St Gregory’s and the Lay Chaplain gave 29 students the opportunity to explore Italy’s capital and the Vatican.

February continues to demonstrate the consistent demand for school retreats at De La Salle Retreat Centre Dublin. We have done more retreats in the months from September 2022 to date than in any other year.

Transition Year students at Ard Scoil La Salle Raheny participated in an amazing experience with RNLI Howth Yacht Club Lifesaving work placement before mid-term.

Students from Stella Maris College received a special treat recently when they got the opportunity to speak to an astronaut as the International Space Station passed Malta.

De La Salle College 6th Form Malta hosted their Careers Day recently and the event proved to be very beneficial for all.

The students had a number of sessions by different professionals according to their study subjects about the different career choice possibilities. 

The International Symposium of Young Lasallians took place at the Generalate in Rome between November 13th and 20th, with the District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta represented by Joseph Degabriele.

Students at De La Salle College Dundalk displayed their talents on the sporting front when the U-17 team captured the North East Championship recently.
