The District Vocation Commission has crafted this year’s Founder’s Day with the theme Lasallians: Agents of Hope for the Future. The chosen theme resonates with our own Lasallian Family’s call to be agents of transformation through the Leavening Movement and the Church’s call to be Pilgrims of Hope during this Jubilee Year.

Between March 31st and April 4th, De La Salle, Senior School hosted the workshops for the project -KA210 – SCH- DC499A2E  'Transition from STEM to Robotics'.

Students and educators across the District are invited to take part in an exciting initiative as part of the celebrations to mark 75 years since our Founder, John Baptist de La Salle, was declared a Saint.

CHoRE refers to a gathering of Chaplains, Head’s of RE and Animators from GB, which takes place every year at St Cassian’s, Kintbury. This year we were delighted to welcome two Chaplains from De La Salle College and Stella Maris in Malta and colleagues from St Bede’s Catholic College. All present felt especially privileged to have Brother Enrico Muller, from Italy, lead the reflections on this year’s theme of ‘Lasallian Spirituality’.

The District of Ireland, Great Britain, and Malta is preparing to welcome Brother Superior General Armin Luistro for a four-day visit to Malta in April 2025.

The District of Ireland, Great Britain, and Malta will host the 26th ASSEDIL Congress from 23rd to 26th April 2025 at Stella Maris College, Gzira, Malta.

The exciting times at St Benild School continued this month with a number of memorable events taking place.

Over the last couple of weeks at St Gregory’s Catholic College the focus of Lent has been on Reconciliation, with classes benefitting from a Reconciliation Service in the Chapel specifically for their age group.

Two memorable trips for the Lasallian Community at De La Salle School St Helens served as a reminder of how faith strengthens our bonds.

In his recent letter to the Districts, Brother Superior highlighted the support that Lasallian District of Ireland, Great Britain, and Malta (IGBM) and the Lasallian East Asia District (LEAD)  have demonstrated to the Lasallian Mission through their extraordinary contribution to the 1 La Salle Campaign.

World Down Syndrome Day on Friday March 21st saw all at Stella Maris College Junior School celebrate the joy and strength of individuals with Down Syndrome. Let’s keep working for a world where everyone is valued and celebrated.

Students from St Peter’s Catholic School Bournemouth enjoyed two very enlightening trips recently that will certainly broaden their horizons as they consider options after leaving school.

St Nicholas Monastery National School Dundalk held First Confession for students on Thursday March 6th in St Nicholas Church.  The celebrant was our school chaplain Fr. Callum Young.

On Saturday 15th March, a group of staff and students set off from St Margaret Ward very early to head down to Wembley Arena for Flame 2025, the country’s largest Catholic Youth event.

The school community at St Illtyd’s Catholic High School continue to find creative ways to encourage all to look after our environment and as a result it has been a very busy time for the Eco Club.

St. Seton’s under 16 GAA team, brought the school their first piece of silverware recently in a tight, hard fought final.

St Stephen’s BNS Waterford ran a very successful block of Maths4Fun in 3rd Class during the month of March. Lots of parents came into the classroom to work with the boys in small groups and the boys absolutely loved it!

Flame, the UK's largest Catholic youth conference, event took place on Saturday, 15th March at the OVO Arena Wembley in London. A group of St. Augustine’s students travelled with St. Gregory’s, Bath to the conference, and joined together with the Lasallian community at the arena – all proudly wearing our turquoise Lasallian T-shirts!

The Lasallian Leavening Fund project at Ardscoil La Salle Raheny continues to thrive as we strengthen our connections with the local community.
