District celebrations to mark Founder’s Week
The District Vocation Commission has crafted this year’s Founder’s Day with the theme Lasallians: Agents of Hope for the Future. The chosen theme resonates with our own Lasallian Family’s call to be agents of transformation through the Leavening Movement and the Church’s call to be Pilgrims of Hope during this Jubilee Year.
A series of resources for Founder’s Week (May 12th-16th) have been shared with schools and centres which can be used in classrooms for prayer, Celebration of the Word assemblies, student assemblies, etc. The hope is these resources will further help you in building Lasallian Ethos, Charism and Identity in schools and ministry communities.
They are also intended to support efforts in building a Culture of Vocations across the District and equip students in discovering their life’s purpose.
The theme for each day is:
Monday-(May 12th) Day 1 : Saint John Baptist de La Salle and Servant of God Brother Louis Camilleri: Agents of Hope from our Past
Tuesday-(May 13th) Day 2 : Oscar Romero: How can we be a microphone for God’s Love?
Wednesday-(May 14th) Day 3: Dorothy Day: What is your message to the world?
Thursday- Day 4: (May 15th) Founder’s Day. District-wide Zoom celebration at 10:00 AM GMT.
Friday-(May 16th) Day 5 : Our Call and Commitment to be Agents of Hope for the Future
