Teachers in Malta strive for quality education

‘Quality Education’ is one of the five core Lasallian principles. This is in direct symphony with our educators’ enthusiasm to learn about new ways of dealing with day-to-day situations in a school day and achieve better results through their teaching and learning.

On January 24th, our educators received further professional development from their own colleagues who received training as part of the school’s second part of a three tier ERASMUS project funded by the European Union, Erasmus 2.0.

Training sessions included:

‘Stress Management and Recognition: Key strategies for teachers’ by Ms. Marija Hammett, Ms. Noelle Zahra, Ms. Joanne Scolaro, Mr. Alan Grima and Mr. Beppe Grech.

‘ICT as a Tool for a Student – Centered Classrooms’ by Ms. Ruby Gerada and Mr. Gabriel Hammett.

‘Project Based Learning - Setup, Integration and Reflection’ by Ms. Katya Borg, Ms. Justine Ellul and Ms. Roberta Xuereb.

‘The Collaborative Classrooms: Teachers as coaches, classrooms as teams’ by Ms. Jana Brown and Ms. Isabel Zahra.

Thanks to this COPE session, all knowledge and information gained through these Erasmus 2.0. experiences will be passed on to our educators, who will enrich their lessons further for our Lasallian students and wider community!

Special thanks to all our educators and Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps - EUPA Malta
