International Lasallian Days for Peace (ILDP) resources shared

In preparation for the 16th International Lasallian Days for Peace (ILDP), the District Young Lasallian Council, have shared a bank of resources for use throughout the month.

ILDP 2021 runs from September 21st to October 21st and this year’s theme is, “Building new pathways for Peace.”

The District Young Lasallians Council have repurposed and updated material created over the past four years in order to produce a quality resource for this year.

The resources are deliberately simple to allow them to be used in a variety of ways, as we recognise each school and centre has different ways of working.

Please look out in early October for the release of a collaborative, pre-recorded, service created by staff and students from schools throughout the District. This can be used to mark the end of the International Lasallian Day for Peace on October 21st.

Sometimes we need to take a different path in order to see and experience things we never knew existed and sometimes we might need to get lost in life to be able to find a new path which changes life for the better.

Very often, it is when we make new connections and friends that new paths emerge and show us how we can build a different future together.

More than ever, it is increasingly important that we all recognise the role we play as peace builders in our schools, communities, and in the wider Lasallian Family. Taking time to consider our own wellbeing and peace of mind is integral to achieving this collective goal.

May we place joy at the heart and centre of our actions and prayers, and in doing so, nurture the gift of ourselves.

May we place joy at the heart and centre of our actions and prayers, and in doing so, nurture the gift of ourselves. Together, we can play our part to build new pathways for peace.

We encourage you to get creative and thoughtful about how you could mark your solidarity for peace or response to the theme. We invite you to share your endeavours with us. Please send any updates, stories, or images to Eunan Whyte at eunanwhyte@lasalleigbm.org
