Huge interest in Glendalough retreat

At the La Salle Retreat Centre in Dublin, the first half of this first term of the 2024/2025 academic year has seen an unprecedented interest in our Glendalough retreat and pilgrimage.

We have been down in the Garden of Ireland nearly every week since the return to school. The Glendalough journey continues to yield valuable bonding, spiritual experiences and open and frank discussions between students and leaders alike.

Interestingly, we have just received our earliest Glendalough booking for 2025 which will happen in early March. We have seen the beauty of Autumn in Wicklow and now we look forward to welcoming the Spring there.

The retreat centre in Ballyfermot itself is going on all cylinders with representations from new schools and old schools alike. For our long-serving and loyal schools, there is a sense of "coming home" for them when they walk through the front door.

New challenges and new distractions arrive with them every year and as a team, we are constantly adapting, updating and incorporating programme changes to meet the needs of every group we welcome to ensure a wholesome, spiritual and enduring experience that will, please God, serve and support them long into their school year and beyond.
