Founder’s Week resources and information

With plans in place regarding District celebrations for Founder’s Week, the following information and resources have been made available.

Lasallian Awards

First of all, thank you on behalf of the District’s Office of Mission for your enthusiasm, engagement and support with this year’s Lasallian Awards. The deadline for all entries is Friday 6th May. We are already seeing fantastic numbers coming in from schools across the District.

We would love to see examples of students’ work or photographs of them in action to use as part of our District celebration. We would be very grateful if you are able to email some across. Thank you to those who have already done so!

Founder’s Week

To help with Founder’s Week, I am pleased to shared a google drive folder of resources which could be useful for collective worship, a special one-off La Salle lesson or as a build up to our event next Friday. The link can be found here and we encourage you to share this widely with your communities. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xb1dsCpQFidXVW1taOP8s5ZpFHZ6hrRo?usp=sharing

Founder’s Day Celebration

Our District service will take place on Friday 13th May at 10am (LON/DUB) via Zoom, the event is being supported by LS Media which is a fantastic media group connected to the International Young Lasallian Council along with two members of the retreat team at St Cassian’s Retreat Centre, Issy Cording and Sara Amarillas.

The service includes prayers and reflections from members of the Lasallian Family across the District and beyond, and the lottery draw for the Lasallian Awards. We estimate that the service should be no longer than 30-40 minutes.

Here is the Zoom link, please advise colleagues using the link to change their name to the School and Country and remain muted for the duration. We will begin promptly, so please join the link with plenty of time to spare before 10am.
