Trinity Sunday in Malta

Saturday May 29th, the eve of the Feast of the Holy Trinity was a special day for the Signum Fidei Association of Malta as 30 members from all walks of life renewed their consecration for another year, together with the Brothers who renewed their vows.

This date was also of particular significance as it marked the tenth anniversary since the late founder of Signum Fidei Malta, Br Louis Camilleri, Servant of God, passed away to meet the Risen Lord. His cause for beatification is ongoing in Malta and soon all documents will be sent to Rome.

This well attended event was held at the spacious grounds of De La Salle College, Cottonera, right beside the impressive monument of our beloved founder St John Baptist de La Salle.  All Covid-19 protocols were strictly adhered to.

The evening started with a short address by Br Austin Gili, Community Director, who shared some spiritual insights into the contemporary issues and challenges that pervade our daily lives. He also recalled the life of Br Louis and also remembered all deceased Brothers including the late Br Patrick who was called to a better life on March 21, 2021.

A Eucharist Celebration by Fr Stefan Attard then followed during which the Brothers renewed their religious vows to the Holy Trinity following which the Signum Fidei members also renewed their baptismal consecration by offering themselves “to procure God’s glory as far as they are able and as God will require of them.”

This was the first time that the congregation present gathered together physically since pre-Covid days. At the end of the celebration, the joy and satisfaction on everyone’s faces was evident.
