Tour of District schools completed with memorable visit to Jersey

Director of Formation, Pat Walsh, completed his visits to all schools in the District when he travelled to Jersey on Thursday May 16th.

It proved to be a memorable day as Pat met with students and staff as he experienced at first hand the wonderful atmosphere that exists in the school and how the Lasallian spirit is continuing to thrive.

Pat, and Communications Officer, Eunan Whyte, were given an extensive tour of both primary and secondary schools, and the warmth of the welcome in each class was a testament to the spirt that exists.

They were given the chance to chat with teachers and students in classrooms and at break time, while they also had the opportunity to lead a Lasallian Assembly for primary schools students. Each meeting emphasised just how strong the Lasallian values are in the school.

After lunch, Pat and Eunan, met with Lasallian Animator, Peter Le Gal, and Chaplain, Nick Le Cornu, who explained how they support the spiritual needs of the students, while Alex Martin outlined how the RS department supports the ethos of the college.

The day also included meeting with Headteachers, Jason Turner (Secondary) and Gary Coutanche (Primary), along with Chair of Board of Governors, Steve Meiklejohn.
