Stand Up Awareness Week at Churchtown

De La Salle College, Churchtown, celebrated their first ‘Stand Up Awareness Week’ in Association with BeLonG To, whose mission is to support LGBTI+ young people as equals to achieve their vision through youth work, changing attitudes, and research.

The school community came together to stand up against bullying and to celebrate, recognise, and stand in solidarity with members of the LGBTQ+ Community.

Events took place throughout the week including a Pride Flag Raising Ceremony and an LGBTQ+ Wall of Fame.

The week culminated in a colour day where each year group was asked to wear a different colour of the Pride Flag.
