St Patrick’s Grammar School make sporting history

On December 17th 2021, the Mageean Cup Hurling squad created history for St Patricks Grammar School by bringing the cup home for the very first time.

Having successfully negotiated a tough group with victories against St Patrick’s College Maghera and our local friends and rivals Our Lady & St Patrick’s College Knock, we advanced to the semi-finals. A tough, physical encounter ended in a 2-point victory over St Louis Ballymena.

St Pat’s Maghera awaited again in the final just like 2010. A superb team performance ensured it was a night to remember this time around for all the right reasons. We now move forward to an All-Ireland Semi Final against the Munster champions on March 5th.
