St Gerald’s students enjoy many activities

St Geralds De La Salle College, Castlebar, have been very active on a number of fronts in recent weeks with a sample of events and photos below.

St Gerald’s College DLS celebrated Irish Book Week with our Writing Club. All were encouraged to ‘drop and swap’ books at the book swap station. Nathan O’Malley is pictured with a hamper of books kindly donated by Castle Book Shop in Castlebar.

Our Photography Club has taken the theme of ‘Autumn’ this week.

Random Act of Kindness Day

This week our Student Council invited all members of the school community to actively participate in our Random Act of Kindness initiative. As the saying goes, in a world where you can be anything, be kind! It could have an immense impact on someone’s day.

Our foreign exchange students from Spain, Belgium, Italy and Germany had a brilliant day as they explored north Mayo. They visited Ballycroy National Park and Visitor Centre, which was followed by a very windy introduction to the Atlantic Ocean with an exhilarating body boarding activity!
