St Benildus College make huge contribution to Shoebox Appeal
This year St. Benildus College was once again proud to help the wonderful Christmas Shoebox Appeal campaign ran by Team Hope.
This great initiative endeavours to help as many children in need each year as possible. This of course would not be possible without the help of our students and their charitable parents and guardians.
This year, with your help, we managed to send over 135 shoeboxes filled with joy and hope to those who have little to nothing, in war-torn and third world developing countries. Thank you also to anyone who donated online, we had a large uptake of this option with over 40 donations made online this year.
A massive thank you to all who donated. Know that your shoebox and donations will bring joy and excitement to children living in often very difficult situations. Our donation was part of the 270,000+ shoeboxes that left Ireland through the 2021 campaign.
Well done to all on helping to make a difference last Christmas. Finally, a massive thank you to our TY team of Mark O’Brien, Darragh Coughlan, Joseph Long and Anthony Lavan, as well as our 6th Year Lasallian Prefects Evan Lawlor and Conor Kavanagh, who helped organise and run the appeal on behalf of the student body.
Well done lads.
