Sporting success for De La Salle Dundalk

De La Salle Dundalk ‘s First Year Soccer team was crowned the 2024 North East Division One winners on Friday March 8th, the first time the school has won this league since 2010, after beating Boyne Community School from Trim.

Midfielder Ryan McCann scored from long range to equalise for the De La Salle one minute after Boyne took the lead, the game finished 1-1 after extra time and the De La Salle came out on top winning 5-4 on penalties.

This brings the number of league titles won by the school to 24.
