Sign petition to help tackle climate change

Fondazione De La Salle Solidarieta Internazionale ONLUS would like to invite you to join in signing the Healthy Planet, Healthy People Petition so to ask political leaders attending COP15 and COP26 to take urgent actions to:

•             Tackle the climate emergency and biodiversity crisis together;

•             Limit warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius and promise no more biodiversity loss;

•             Ensure equitable global action, including support for those most affected;

•             Protect and respect human rights, including the rights of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities in climate and biodiversity action.

We have an opportunity like no other.

At the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP15) in October, world leaders can set meaningful targets to protect creation.

In November, at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), countries will announce their plans to meet the goals of the Paris agreement.

Ahead of those meetings, it is our responsibility to lift up the voices of the most vulnerable and advocate on their behalf.

Our common home and common family are suffering. We’re driving species to extinction at a rate of 100 to 1,000 times their usual rate. “We have no such right” (Laudato Si’ 33).

  For our planet and all its inhabitants, we must act NOW!
