Raising funds for Lasallian school in India
A number of well-known Lasallians have taken part in a fun charity event to help raise funds for a Lasallian School in India.
Br Tommy Walsh and Br. William Rafferty, from the De La Salle College Community in Waterford, were joined by Tom O’Neill from the MEL Committee Ireland at the ‘Shave or Dye’ event on Friday May 10th.
The trio not only displayed their passion for the Mission but also their sense of fun as they raised money for the construction of eight Classrooms in Keelamudiman, Tamil Nadu, India.
The cost of the project is €161,000 and will be of huge benefit to the Lasallian school which is situated in a rural area.
Five volunteers will be travelling to India on June 26th and will work on the site for three weeks.
