Positive vibe to start year at Castletown Retreat Centre

After our summer break, we returned to the Pastoral Centre Castletown for another year of school retreats.

Over the past few weeks we have welcomed Transition Year and 6th Year groups for retreats and have also facilitated leadership training for several prefect groups.

The feedback from students and teachers has been very positive and it augers well for the year ahead.

In addition, we also, at the invitation of a parish, presented to the parents of children who will be receiving their First Holy Communion next April.

The same parish has extended an invitation to us to address the parents of children who will be celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation next year. These children will be attending the Pastoral Centre for a Confirmation retreat with us prior to their Confirmation.

It's great to be able to partner with a parish and it gives us an opportunity to promote our Centre and the Lasallian Mission to a wider audience.

In respect of the Lasallian mission, some team members from the five Pastoral Centres in the District had an opportunity to meet up and discuss the Lasallian Identity Framework document. The team from St John's, Ballyfermot hosted us and it was a very productive and enriching experience.

As we set out on another year of retreat facilitation, we hope that those we welcome to the Centre are enriched by their experience and we pray that it will also be an enriching experience for the team.

Wishing you all a wonderful year.
