Open day at Retreat Centre Dublin is a huge success

Summer burst through our doors this month at De La Salle Retreat Centre Dublin in the form of sunshine, new people and new schools.

Our Open Day saw an encouraging representation, through principals and chaplains from schools in the Ballyfermot area, from the De La Salle Family as well as further afield from the city centre.

We had to rerun the presentation twice (for which one chaplain stayed twice) and host a few tours of the house, in accordance with the arrival times of our visitors. It all culminated in a cup of tea and cake in the kitchen with the sun streaming through the window.

It was a very social day and most importantly, we now have new bookings from new schools for the new academic year.

This month also saw our return to the Garden of Ireland and St. Kevin's sanctuary in Glendalough. We were blessed with blue skies and sunshine and the fifth year boys who came to us were gentlemen of the highest order, who connected with the unique atmosphere and holiness of this place.
