One year on from Beirut explosion

One year has passed since the explosion which destroyed much of the centre of the Lebanese capital, Beirut. That terrible event killed 200 people, injured thousands, and severely damaged our three Lasallian Schools.

Immediately after the blast, a spirit of solidarity rose within our Lasallian network, allowing Fondazione De La Salle Solidarietà Internazionale ONLUS to provide humanitarian aid to thousands of affected people and to restructure our educational centres.

One year after this tragedy, the Directors of our three Lasallian schools have spoken about that day, and the difficulties encountered during the past year.
