News from De La Salle College Community Waterford

The only news we have is the celebration of brother Ben's birthday with the celebrations enjoyed by all in the community.

The school is now preparing for the Summer exams and students are busy studying especially at weekends.

Brother Tom's garden is coming along as he tends it when he can often spending 5/7 hours on a Saturday planting weeding and designing and painting.  .

 On April 1st, first thing in the morning when I opened my bedroom door I was greeted by Tom who quickly informed that the Waterford bridge was going up at 9:30am and if I wanted he would drive me down and drop me off which he did.

It suddenly dawned on me that this was an April Fool. It was 9:25am. I called him back and said is this an April Fool?

“No”, he said, “stay there, the bridge is going up just wait”.  Hearing these word convinced me I had been fooled - or had I?  The pictures speak for themselves.  Tom came and collected and drove me back to the college.
