Newly appointed Lay Chaplains learn from colleagues in St Helens
Isabel Zahra and David Portelli, newly appointed lay chaplains at De La Salle College and Stella Maris College in Malta, recently had the opportunity to visit De La Salle School St Helens.
During their visit, they shadowed Sam McCormick, Chaplain at St Helens, and experienced the chaplaincy work carried out in the school as well as school life at St Helens. They also had the opportunity to experience the community life of the Brothers who hosted them during their stay.
“This was a truly uplifting and enriching Lasallian experience for us as we start on our mission in this new role,” Isabel and David commented on their return.
La Salle Malta would like to sincerely thank Joe Gilson, chair of the Malta Trust, Brother Sean Sellors, Andy Rennard, Head of De La Salle School, Sam McCormick and Mariella Vella for all their help in organising this visit.
