New Lasallian Leaders at St Peter’s Bournemouth
At the beginning of term, the Chaplaincy team at St Peter’s were delighted to receive an abundance of applications from students keen to join our inaugural group of “Lasallian Leaders”. This enthusiastic team of students from across different year groups have come together to assist Chaplaincy with their various activities throughout the year and promote Lasallian values within our community.
They have already got off to a flying start by learning more about some of our house saints and helping in celebration of feast days. Others have been using their creative talents to prepare posters and art work for a community Remembrance event in November.
Other Lasallian Leaders are starting to learn to become Sacristans and are setting up for lunchtime Masses, whilst others are eager to be tour guides to our visiting clergy whom we will welcome to school for “Coffee and Cakes” after half term.
What’s been especially lovely to watch is the developing friendship and support given across the year groups – everyone is included and valued. St Peter’s is truly blessed to have such a dedicated and willing group of students showing and sharing their love for Jesus across the school community – and they’ve only just begun!
