Macroom students provide festive cheer at nursing home

Activities at De La Salle College Macroom in the past month have included a Christmas concert, mindfulness, drama sessions and a talk on online safety.

Christmas music

De La Salle students in Macroom took part in a fantastic Christmas Musical Performance in the local Nursing Home. They sang an array of Christmas carols and ballads as well as playing some lovely traditional music on the accordions, guitar, banjo, bodhrán, tin whistle, spoons and piano.

Well done to our fine singers and gifted musicians; Patrick Kelleher, David Bradley and Matthew Kelleher in 1st year & Liam Neville, Michael Kelleher, Cian Lee, Jack O Donoghue, Michael Dunne, Eoin Holland and Tadhg O Driscoll in 2nd year.

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon for all!

Drama session

Pictured are some of our TY years students enjoying their drama session with Bernard Casey, they did a variety of activities such as improvisation, acting, team building activities and games. Iarnóin den scoth, míle buíochas Bernard!

Online safety

Garda Doyle spoke to all first years, Tuesday morning, about online safety and the legislation around online safety.

Mindfulness
