Lasallian Mission Week at St. Benild School

Lasallian Mission Week was celebrated at St. Benild School, Malta, from October 17th to 23rd with many activities organised.

During our weekly Monday morning school assembly, we have launched our Mission Week project to our school community. This year we have helped Bro. Enrico Muller f.s.c who leads the 'Scampia project in Naples, Italy. Bro Enrico runs 'Casa Arcobaleno' and provides shelter and education to the Roma Children of the area. We had the opportunity to meet Bro Enrico online and he shared with us some interesting details about his work as a Missionary.

A leaflet has been purposely prepared and  given out to each pupil. The aim is for the children to be part of the Mission and to work hard so as to help those who are in need. The main theme is 'I am a Mission'.

Children were rewarded by their parents for every chore completed at home. The total money collected was then sent into school. Parents also sent photos of their sons in action! These photos were printed and exhibited in the school hall.

"You do it to ME"....let us remember that Christ lives in each one of us and our actions speak louder than words!
