Gambling With Lives seminar

On 18th October, De La Salle High School Downpatrick were visited by representatives of GAMBLING WITH LIVES, a charity dedicated to helping to educate and support young people in regard to the dangers and harms that can be caused by gambling.

Mr. Barry Fennell led the event along with Mr. Declan Cregan, with our Year 12 and Post 16 students in attendance.

The Seminar provided the students a lot of insight and information about the perils young people face in regard to gambling. The students engaged well in the Q & A session. Mr. Fennell and Mr. Cregan praised the students for their engagement, saying they were all a credit to themselves, their families and to De La Salle High School.

At the end of the Seminar, our Head & Deputy Head Boys, Liam Byrne and Callum Teggart made a presentation on behalf of the School to Mr. Fennell for the Charity.
