Downpatrick students address poverty issue

Students in De La Salle High School Downpatrick have addressed the issue of hygiene poverty which is an inability to afford essentials such as deodorant, shampoo and other personal care products. The Food Banks in Ballynahinch, Castlewellan, Downpatrick and Newcastle have reported an alarming rise in requests for hygiene products as part of their weekly distribution.

All our Year 8 De La Salle students each received a hygiene pack from the Food Banks who have collaborated with Multi-disciplinary teams.
