Deepening understanding of Lasallian Mission at Kintbury CPD

During Palm Sunday weekend, educators from across the District gathered at St Cassian’s to further develop their knowledge and understanding of the Lasallian Mission that is entrusted to all of our care.

This CPD course offers 3 Tracks and is designed to be a follow up to the Lasallian Induction CPD that happens each August in the beautiful Mellieha in Malta.

Track 1 is deepening an understanding of Lasallian Ethos, Track 2 Lasallian Spirituality and Track 3 Lasallian Association. Each year two Tracks run and this year it was the turn of Track 1 and 3. As with any Formation course, the time spent together is not about acquiring information but more an immersive experience in listening not only to what is being said aloud but what is being said within.

This weekend provides much needed space to press pause on the busy aspects of school life, there is space created for personal reflection, moments to chat and network and of course, you are nourished with good food and company too.

Here are a few quotes from the feedback from the weekend.

High quality time with others who share the Lasallian values and vision.

I think it was great balance of self-reflection, team discussion and learning.

Hopefully I will give back the energy that I had lost and recharged from Kintbury.

Next year, Tracks 1 and 2 will run over Palm Sunday weekend, look out for details on how to register during the Autumn term.
