Basildon popularity highlights value of Lasallian education

Headteacher Paul Norris

The value of a Lasallian education and the opportunities that it opens up for young people has been highlighted once again in a report that recognises the popularity of De La Salle School Basildon.

The wonderful work being carried out at the school has been acknowledged in the best possible way – by the high numbers of those applying to the school - according to a government report.

A recent report revealed that the school, led by Headteacher Paul Norris and his team, has remained Essex’s most oversubscribed non-selective secondary school.

As many as 45.6 per cent of first-choice applicants for the De La Salle School in Basildon were unsuccessful in securing a place at the school, according to recent Government data.

This achievement was highlighted in the local Echo news website
