Cian displays his leadership qualities at Macroom

All at De La Salle College Macroom are very proud to hear that Cian Kelleher (fourth year) has been accepted to the Global Young Leaders Programme.

Run by the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin, this prestigious prize grants him the privilege of immersing himself in the world of diplomacy and foreign affairs.

Over the course of three days in May, Cian will engage in insightful workshops, interactions with Irish Ambassadors, and visits to international embassies.

Congratulations to Cian and his family for this remarkable achievement.

U-16 County Champions

Well done to the lads who managed to beat a very tough Bantry team! Well done to team manager Mr Fiachra Landers who put in a lot of hours preparing this team.

 History Quiz

Eight 3rd year history students attended UCC on Tuesday evening for the annual Cork History Teachers Association Junior Cert revision quiz. De La Salle college entered two teams this year and did very well in a very difficult quiz with 20 other teams

While the trophy isn't going back to Macroom, the evening was a great opportunity for students to enjoy the subject outside of the classroom and text books.

Well done and thank to all eight students who participated, and a huge thank you to the parents who volunteered their time in dropping and collecting students to and from UCC.
