Many reasons to celebrate at Stella Maris
The end of year at Stella Maris brought many reasons to celebrate including the Graduation for Grade 6 students and a ceremony to honour Ms Patricia Azzopardi Preziosi on her retirement.
Grade 6 Graduation Celebration
After their Final Assessments, the Grade 6 students dedicated two and a half weeks to prepare for their Graduation. The three classes rehearsed for the end of year play – Back in Time. The day started with a Eucharistic Celebration with the participation of students, staff, and parents. It was followed by the Certificates Ceremony and the play Back in Time directed by our Creative Arts Teacher – Mr Ivan De Gabriele. It was an emotional day for Ms Pat as she directed the songs - This is me and A Million Dreams for the last time as a class teacher in Grade 6. The celebration ended with a reception under the tent, where the students took their last photos as students in the Junior School. Ms Felicienne Micallef baked a lovely cake for everyone to enjoy.

Ms Patricia’s Retirement Celebration
On 21st June, the students prepared a well-deserved farewell for Ms Patricia Azzopardi Preziosi. Ms Pat has taught in various grades and for the past year was a Teacher of English in Grade 6. She organised several activities for the students and was an active member of the pastoral team. Several past students prepared a farewell message and even composed a piece of music especially for her. She was presented with a gift from all the school.
On 28th, well deserved celebration was organised to acknowledge Ms Pat's teaching years at Stella Maris Junior School. Mr Stephen Cachia, Director of Educational Mission La Salle Malta, presented her with a commemorative plaque. Members of staff enjoyed the celebration.

La Salle Malta Senior Leadership Team attend a seminar in La Salle Mellieha
On 3 July 2023, the La Salle Malta Senior Leaderships team met for an end of year seminar at our Pastoral Centre in Mellieha. The Senior Leadership teams of De La Salle College and Stella Maris College, including St Benild School, discussed the past scholastic year and looked ahead towards taking forward our Lasallian mission together during the forthcoming year.
