Success for St Peter’s Bar Mock Squad

The St Peter's Bar Mock squad have become the Bar Mock Regional Champions for a sixth time after the live trials at the Southampton Courts of Justice were the first since 2019.

The squad's sterling performance during the three heats and final round earned them the right to appear at the Young Citizens Bar Mock Nationals in London in March 2023.

The St Peter's student Barristers were professional, composed, and 'owned the Court' throughout the four trials. Their questions were very effective, and their speeches turned the trials in our favour. The student Witnesses characterised their roles superbly and proved steadfast in the cross-examinations. Our Court Clerk and Usher conducted the Court protocols with aplomb.

The squad were expertly guided by Rob Griffiths (Barrister Mentor) and by their school Coach, Luke Herford (Subject Leader for RE) during the weeks of practice and at the Regional Trial and assisted by Willow Sivyer and Miah Herford at the Regional Trial.
