Student Animators share the ethos in Downpatrick

In an historic year for De La Salle High School, Downpatrick, the students are determined to continue to develop the Lasallian ethos amongst the school Community.

Pictured, along with School Animator, Mr. Tony Keeley, are the Student Animator Group members. They are, Tiernan Kelly, Niall Smith, Marc Bell and David Sashov from Year 8, along with Rhys Murphy, Ethan Lowry and Jack Higgins from Year 9.

After meeting with many Lasallian Teachers in Malta, Tony is working as School Animator to ensure the Lasallian ethos is continuing to be a central focus in the school.

A number of projects have been undertaken, including a series of weekly reflections shared among staff, students and the Parents and Carers of our students who are an important part of the wider Lasallian family in Downpatrick.

The Student Animator Group is beginning to undertake the challenge of working to ensure that all members of the school community are made to feel welcome and appreciated in the school.

Among these projects are a “Staff Appreciation Day” and other ideas to underline our Lasallian values in this new school year.
