St Declan’s unveil exciting new feature

St Declan’s Boys National School in Waterford began the new year by unveiling a new outdoor learning environment which was developed over the summer.

The area was initially paved with new brickwork which immediately transformed the space into a warm and cosy courtyard. The special murals were added and they tell the story of space flight up to the famous landing on the moon.

Potted plants were brought in and they were specially chosen for their texture, colour and aroma. This all adds a sensory dimension to the space as well. It is a fantastic addition to the school and one which will be used for many different events and activities into the future.
