St Benild end the year on a high
Staff and students at St Benild ended the school year on a high with a number of events such as the First Holy Communion celebration, Family Fest and Induction Day reflecting the passion and enthusiasm of the school.
First Holy Communion Commemoration
Even though our Grade 2 pupils celebrated their First Holy Communion in their respective parishes, we ensured that such an important event in their life was commemorated at St. Benild School too.
Parents and pupils were invited to attend a Eucharistic celebration at the nearby Parish church. This mass involved the participation of each and every child who animated ever so well all throughout. After Mass, the families were invited for a reception at school. As one can witness, the children had a blast! It also gave members of staff and parents time to socialise whilst the children were well entertained.

Family Fest: Bringing Families Together
What better way to close the scholastic year by inviting all our families at St. Benild School (Grade 1, 2) and the families of Grade 3 students to an event held at Stella Maris College. Reunited as one big Lasallian family, all members of staff and families met under the tent in the Junior school grounds and started off the day with a Eucharistic celebration. This Mass was animated by children who sang during different parts of mass.
Our programme was jam-packed with exciting activities which varied from games to crafts, to science activities and sports events! Bingo, a lucky wheel and a lottery also featured throughout the day. Various food stalls ensured that nobody went hungry! Moreover, informative stations such as the fire engine station, the police station, shark lab station, Malta Heritage station and Robo Coach station also attracted the attention of many of our pupils.
In our college, team work truly makes the dream work!

Induction Day for our New Entrants
Whilst one chapter has closed for our Grade 2 pupils at St. Benild School, another one is opening for our new entrants who will be taking up their role as Grade 1 pupils as from next scholastic year.
So as to ensure that our new four to five-year-old students are well prepared for such a move, all the staff welcomed our pupils for an orientation day which was held during the first week of July.
This day featured a tour of the school for parents, whilst the pupils were engaged in an interactive 'Bear Hunt' Adventure! This day was a golden opportunity to get to know each other, on so many levels.
Whilst welcoming with open arms new pupils into our Lasallian Community, we wish our Grade 2 students luck in their new venture at Stella Maris College.
