Positive feedback for Castletown Pastoral Centre

Prior to the Easter break we had launched our online Confirmation Retreat programme 'Bua Ó Dhia' and were looking forward to delivering it to the many schools who had requested it.

From our three individual workstations in the Centre, suitably socially distanced, we have zoomed to schools in Tipperary, Offaly, Carlow, Kildare and Waterford. So far in the month of April and early May we have delivered 43 online sessions.

The feedback from students and teachers has been very positive and affirming, and our hope is that some of those schools that we have been working with us virtually will be able to send their students to the Centre at some time in the near future. For schools who are a considerable distance from us and who wouldn't be able to travel to us, we would envisage that we will continue to offer the online option to them.

While we are enjoying immensely the online sessions, we were also delighted to be able to welcome Transition Year students to us from Colaiste Bhride, Carnew, Co Wicklow. Later on in May we will welcome more Transition Year students from there as well as welcoming back Transition Year students from Mountmellick Community School who we had worked with previously in October.

We are so grateful for the enthusiasm, friendliness and prayerfulness of the students we are engaging with and it is a real privilege to be among them.

We are truly blessed.
