New beginning for Retreat Centre, Dublin

It is official! The retreat team at Benildus Pastoral Centre, Dublin is now the retreat team at De La Salle Retreat Centre, Dublin. Our move from Kilmacud in south Dublin to Ballyfermot in west Dublin is complete.

Over the summer, the house in Ballyfermot was re-fitted and refurbished to a very high standard which enables us to give state-of-the-art retreats to increased numbers of students. We are delighted that the schools we serviced in Benildus remain committed to us and are taking on the expense and longer journey west along the road to us.

Already into the term, we have had the pleasure of welcoming many students who express generously their enthusiasm over the "new place".

Of course, we are inviting new schools in the area and in the catchment area to join us too, so it is busy times for us at the Dublin Centre.

We are still operating our pilgrim retreat to Glendalough, the monastic city in the Garden of Ireland (County Wicklow) and it is as popular as ever. We have already had a group down there in September, with two more pending in the coming weeks.

We had been in Benildus, close to 20 years so the move to Ballyfermot was a significant one. However, we are grateful that the work continues and that the students of Dublin and beyond, have a wonderful facility to which to come, reflect, connect, empower and pray together.
