Many activities to enjoy at De La Salle Senior School

Students and staff at De La Salle Senior College, Malta, have enjoyed another busy few weeks as they participated in many activities, including building teamwork, Erasmus training and mental well-being.

Prince’s Trust

Last Friday, students in Form 3 following the Prince's Trust Programme baked cup-cakes for the Form 3 students and members of staff. This activity was selected by the students themselves as at the moment they are completing the Teamwork Module. Our students together with help from teachers and LSEs baked, decorated and distributed around 280 cup-cakes. A special thank you goes to Chain Supermarket, who kindly gave us all the required ingredients. Students decided to donate all proceeds to Puttinu Cares.

Erasmus Training

Continuous professional development at our school is an important contribution to the overall school community.

On the 12th December, our educators will be receiving further professional development from their own colleagues who received training as part of the school’s second part of a three tier ERASMUS project funded by the European Union, Erasmus 2.0.

Training sessions include: ‘ICT in the Classroom: Innovative Tools to Facilitate Students Learning, Collaboration and Creativity’ by Mr. Daniel Henderson and Mr. Randall Cassar.

‘Teach with a Twist! Motivate your students with Creative Teaching Strategies’ by Ms. Carla Borg and Ms. Nicole Farrugia.

Thanks to these training sessions, all knowledge and information gained through the Erasmus 2.0. programmes will be passed on to our educators, who will enrich their lessons further for our Lasallian students!

Special thanks to all our educators and Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps - EUPA Malta
