Living the Core Principles in Castlebar

Students at St Gerald’s De La Salle College in Castlebar once again displayed how they live the Lasallian Core Principles with a number of activities in recent weeks.

Transition Year students volunteered to collect donations in Castlebar for the Irish Wheelchair Association. Braving cold and rainy weather, their efforts made a real impact. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the local businesses that allowed them to collect on their premises.

On October 4th, twenty of SGC’s Transition Year students participated in a charity sleep-out event at the front of the school to raise funds and awareness for the Galway/Mayo Simon Community.

The students showed great dedication by spending the night outdoors in support of this important cause.
