Wonderful welcome for volunteers in India

After a wonderful welcome from the locals on arrival in India, the five volunteers from the District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta, have been hard at work on the project at Keelamudiman, Tamil Nadu, India.

Robyn Whelan, Kenneth Giles and Dylan Sweeney – all from Ardscoil La Salle Raheny – have joined Auxiliary Visitor Br Tommy Walsh and Tom O’Neill (MEL Ireland) on the three-and-a-half week trip, as the help with the construction of eight classrooms.

It's a Lasallian School in a rural area. The cost of the  project is €161,000 and will be of huge benefit to the school which is situated in a rural area.
