Fun and learning at St Stephen’s Waterford

Students at St Stephens National School in Waterford are witnessing the value of having fun while learning as the enjoyed activities during Maths Week and Brickz4kidz.

Maths Week

To celebrate Maths Week in St. Stephen’s School, the Home School Liaison Teacher asked families to get involved at home. Lots of families sent in photos of their boys baking, shopping, counting money, playing board games, playing chess and enjoying number hunts.

The boys were then rewarded with prizes for their efforts. Boys from Junior Infants up to 6th Class loved getting involved at home.

Brickz4kidz

Boys from Junior and Senior Infants have been taking part in Brickz4kidz after school on Monday afternoons. The boys have really enjoyed building with 2D and 3D shapes and can’t wait to try out some robotics next week! Great to see so many parents getting involved in all the fun too.
