Fitting end to the year at Castletown Pastoral Centre

During this month La Salle Pastoral Centre Castletown welcomed our last groups for the academic year and we also had an opportunity to have a team reflection day in the wonderful setting of Kiltegan, Co Wicklow. It was a very enriching experience for all of us.

We also had our team end of year prayer service, with Br Kevin joining us. During this service we had a fire ritual. This ritual involved taking all of the private prayers that had been written by students throughout the year from the prayer box, and adding them to the fire. As the papers were consumed by the fire, we read out all of the names of the schools/parishes that had visited us over the year. It's a powerful reminder that the flames of faith are sustained by prayer and the support of one another.

As we come to the end of the retreat year and prepare for our summer break we give thanks for all the blessings we have received.

We are looking forward to a restful few weeks with hope full for  good weather and good company. We wish the same for you all.
