DLS St Helens welcome new 1719 Society

On Wednesday April 27th, the current 1719 society, the new society, friends and family were invited to the HandOver Ceremony. This opportunity was to say thank you to the previous society for everything they have done and the foundations they have set for the new society.

It was also a chance to welcome the new society in the presence of loved ones as the 1719 baton was passed from head girl and head boy Lucie Sams and Shea Rainford to Grace Tresnan and Jack McIntyre.

The members of the society endured a process to earn their place. This started by expressing an interest, spending a day in chapel to understand truly what the society means. After this came group and individual interviews presenting qualities they would bring to the society. This process ensured their dedication and commitment to their roles.

The new 1719 society for 2022-2023 are as follows:

Leadership: Grace Tresnan, Jack McIntyre

Deputy Head Students: Eleanor Webster, Noah Bayley, Erin Robinson

Communication: Siobhan Walker, Neve Clydesdale, Megha Thomas

Extra Curricular: Georgia Mae Walsh, Zach Riordan, Abigail Monaghan, Joseph Barlow
