Benildus Pastoral Centre continue to rise to challenges

After a full Autumn term of retreats, Benildus Pastoral Centre is looking forward to a packed calendar of retreats for the first six months of 2022.

Unfortunately, however, we have encountered our first cancellation this week due to staff shortages in schools. Still, our retreats for next week remain confirmed and we can only hope that our service will be seen as a vital one for the children and students in these times of upheaval.

Our commitment notwithstanding, we are very much dependent on individual school policy and the availability of accompanying teachers to the centre. For the foreseeable future, our only option  will be to operate on a day-by-day basis as and when the schools need and require us.

As ever, we will remain flexible and inventive as to how and where schools will want us to deliver our retreats and we are ready to adapt in accordance with changing circumstances and restrictions.

If there is one thing the last two years have taught us is that we can operate on shifting sands as well as on terra firma - Thank God.
