Highlighting the value of community in Waterford

Ove the past few weeks, the Lasallian Family have enjoyed a number of initiatives that highlight the value of community and making positive connections, including hosting a coffee morning for parents, celebrating World Children’s Day and welcoming Director of Formation, Pat Walsh, for a visit.

Parents coffee morning

Our recent 1st Year Parents Coffee Mornings were a wonderful success! Parents, guardians, and members of our Senior Management Team, Year Head, and Student Support Network gathered to enjoy coffee, conversation, and connection. It was a fantastic opportunity for parents to meet the team dedicated to supporting their sons' journey through secondary school and to connect with one another. We’re grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to such a warm and welcoming morning

World Children’s Day

To mark World Children’s Day, the Arts Council selected our own Rajiv Das and a friend to take over their Instagram for the day The two young musicians brought viewers behind the scenes to showcase how music and being part of an artistic community is so important to them. Rajiv kicked off the day sharing clips of his choir practice and a piano piece he is working on in De La Salle College.

Pat Walsh visit

The school community was delighted to receive a visit from Director of Formation, Pat Walsh at the beginning of November. Accompanied by Auxiliar Visitor, Br Tommy Walsh, Pat met with students, staff, parents and Board of Management and saw at first hand the wonderful efforts being made by all to sustain the Lasallian Mission.
