The One La Salle Global Fund is designed to help many Lasallian projects across the globe. Please see below some examples of the great work being done to help those most in need.

INDIA: De La Salle College - Keesara

COLOMBIA, Fratelli Project - Maicao

This nonformal education center creates a second educational opportunity for migrant youth from Venezuela, living in the largest refugee camp in Colombia, “La Pista” (a former airport). 1 La Salle Fund will support vulnerable girls and women.

Where students came from: Refugee camp for Venezuelan migrants “La Pista”,Wayúu Indigenous minorities, vulnerable Colombians.

This nonformal education center creates a second educational opportunity for refugee youth escaping the war in Syria and the religious persecution in Iraq, living in refugee camps, and vulnerable conditions in Lebanon.

This nonformal education center caters for street children coming from the most underserved areas of Abidjan, supporting them in their educational journey and family reunification.

De La Salle Blackfeet School serves young people on the Blackfeet Reservation offering accessible Catholic education with extended school days, small class sizes, and a community focus.

Where students came from:  Blackfeet Reservation Community, North West Montana 1.5 million acres (20,000 population)

Religion and other characteristics: Most of the Blackfeet Reservation would identify as Christian, and a large majority of those would be Roman Catholic, but there is a strong representation of traditional Blackfeet Spirituality, which we highly encourage in our students and accompany the preservation of this cultural knowledge.

USA The Homestead Project, Florida

Non formal educational centre aimed at Immigrant Agricultural Families primarily from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico

There are 50 students in the after-school care who assist with homework support to students in grades K-8 Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Food distributions weekly serve over 250 families.

Religious Education sacramental preparation on the weekends, which is led by our local parish.

Weekly community gatherings for retired and nonworking members of the community offering fellowship and sharing of meals 

Adult Education courses in English and Citizenship

Services are primarily offered in Spanish except for the after-school program which is Biligual

The mission of Lasallian Women of Hope is to ensure girls and women enjoy full access to Lasallian education. A project of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools’ Solidarity and Development Office, LWH began as a small project providing grassroots female empowerment while developing sustainable solutions to mitigate obstacles impeding educational access. Through its grants, LWH delivers creative, effective and durable solutions to educational inequities for girls and women.
